The trend these days is to get bigger venues and so raise more money. Our fees stay the same but bigger auditoriums make a lot more money when filled so it's worth thinking about.  Smallish parishes now tend to combine with their neighbours and so can reap the benefits of success whilst sharing the overheads

 

However for most Pastors a good social parish evening with everyone joining in and enjoying themselves as a parish unit
